Aleasa M. Word is the Managing Director of Allergy Words Consulting, LLC of Newark, DE. Her coaching model is Emotional Intelligence with a focus on Reactionary Change. Her firm also offers a variety of business and personal consulting solutions.
Ms. Word’s formal life coach training is through The Coach Training Academy, a subsidiary of Rhema International Training Group of Vancouver, Canada. Her professional employment history also includes work in critical Investment Administration Services that has spanned the areas of brokerage, high net worth & international portfolio management, proxy administration, trust investments and investment compliance & regulatory oversight coordination. She obtained her Webmaster Certification at the University of Delaware, has a Diploma for Trust, Relationship and Investment Management through the American Bankers Association and is completing her BS in Organizational Dynamics at Wilmington University. She is a Food Allergy Safety Educator and holds certifications through both Protect Allergic Children – ELL and Berkshire Area Health Education Center in Food Allergen Awareness and Food Allergen Safety. She is the founder and Executive Director of FAMSOD, the Food Allergic & Asthmatic Multi-Cultural Society of Delaware – a cultural inclusion support organization. Her affiliations include seats on the Adult Advisory Committee for the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) along with a dual role as Chair of FAAN’s Delaware Walk for Food Allergy. She is a volunteer Outreach Service Coordinator Asthma Allergy Network Mothers of America.
In addition to her accomplishments in the food allergic and asthmatic communities, Ms. Word has been a strong supporter of teens & music for creative expression and behavioral re-direction for reactionary change. She has managed aspiring musicians through her organization Adub4Spirit Entertainment and served on the committee for AIDS Delaware’s own Delaware Teen Idol Competitions since 2008 as Artist Development Director.
Other partnerships include committee memberships with Healthy Kids Delaware and The Delaware Family Shade. She volunteers for the Delaware Medical Reserve Corp and is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and American Association of University Women.
